The Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) channel team at TELUS is a fast-paced and innovative residential sales team experiencing rapid growth. Our D2C Data & Reporting team is dedicated to empowering our sales force with advanced tools, processes, and data insights to enhance customer experience and meet sales and marketing objectives.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Senior Data Analyst to join our team. You will play a crucial role in shaping our data engineering efforts and generating pivotal business insights for our expanding D2C Channel team. In this role, you will lead our data strategy, analysis, integration, and management initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will:

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to handle increasing data volume and complexity
• Design and build data models, views, BI semantic layers, and assets for governed reporting and self-service analytics
• Engineer comprehensive data solutions on both on-prem and cloud infrastructure
• Engage with business stakeholders in workshops to identify requirements for new reporting and analytics use cases, developing dashboards and reports to meet their needs
• Collaborate continuously with marketing and sales teams to create timely and accurate reports that offer actionable insights
• Lead the creation of operational and partnership dashboards and self-serve reporting tools using Looker, Tableau, and Domo to support informed data-driven decision making by leadership teams

What You Bring

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, including advanced coding, relational database design, and data warehousing
• Proficient understanding of GCP services such as IAM, BigQuery, Dataflow, GCS, and relevant programming languages like Python
• Proven experience in driving data-based decisions in a consultative manner to executive and senior management stakeholders
• Ability to identify requirements and build reporting solutions and system roadmaps with key stakeholders
• Independence in a fast-paced environment and strong collaboration skills
• Proficiency with technologies such as ORACLE, Exadata, Microsoft SQL Server, Cloud-managed databases, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, R, Python, GCP, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Tableau, Domo, Power BI, etc.
• Excellent analytical skills, strong organizational ability, prioritization skills, multi-tasking capability, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Great-to-Haves

It would be advantageous if you have:

• A post-secondary degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in telecom and/or home security
• Certification in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence tech stack
