We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Software Data Engineer to join our team at Wolters Kluwer. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of data in our data warehouse using multiple technologies and provide insightful data visualization and dashboards. You will closely collaborate with our data science team to develop efficient data pipelines for various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data using state-of-the-art methods.
  • Build and maintain ETL jobs to keep data up to date in cloud data warehouses from diverse sources such as Data Streams, RDBMS, Salesforce, flat files, JSON files, DynamoDB, and more.
  • Create and maintain data APIs in AWS Cloud.
  • Develop and maintain visualizations/dashboards using various data visualization tools.
  • Provide business insights by analyzing complex data.
  • Assist data scientists in building data pipelines.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly.
  • Create automated anomaly detection systems and constantly track their performance.
  • Collaborate with business users and internal resources to define and refine requirements.
  • Serve as an informal resource to less experienced colleagues in resolving technical issues.
  • Identify and suggest product and process changes that enhance team performance and goal achievement.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of overall experience.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in AWS Cloud.
  • At least 2+ years of experience with AWS Glue or Talend ETL tools.
  • At least 1+ years of experience with Tableau or Power BI visualization tools.
  • Proficient in writing and debugging complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in transforming complex data structures like JSON and XML files.
  • Experience working on AWS platform components like S3 and Redshift data warehouse.
  • Preferred experience with Python programming.
  • Desirable experience in building/maintaining APIs in AWS.
  • Ability to learn and build competencies in new tools as required.
  • Capability to explain and defend ideas and analysis while understanding the merits of others' opinions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Highly motivated, organized, proactive self-starter and team player with a data-oriented personality.
