What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, construction, and maintenance of our robust data infrastructure and pipelines, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient processing of substantial data volumes in production environments.
  • Deploy monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks to oversee our data systems' performance and health, proactively tackling potential disruptions or inconsistencies.
  • Enhance the scalability and efficiency of our data systems using advanced technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop, optimizing them to handle significant data loads smoothly.
  • Guarantee superior data integrity and quality through meticulous validation, cleaning, and transformation processes along with comprehensive documentation and tracking.

What You'll Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field, or an equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 6 years of related experience in data engineering, especially in building and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure in active production environments.
  • Extensive proficiency in Python, along with familiarity with various data engineering frameworks and modern database technologies like Postgres and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and tools like S3, BigQuery, or Redshift is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving prowess, a detail-oriented perspective, and a relentless drive to push technological boundaries.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
