Role Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist at ITE Management, you will play a pivotal role in propelling data-driven decision-making processes across our diverse investment strategies, portfolio management, and risk frameworks. Working closely with business intelligence analysts, data engineers, and other key stakeholders, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying innovative data-driven solutions. These efforts will significantly bolster investment decisions and optimize operational outcomes within our portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytical Insights: Handle in-depth analyses of data from internal sources or portfolio companies to understand dynamics and patterns.
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Develop and implement sophisticated statistical, machine learning, and AI models in partnership with internal teams to unearth new insights on operational and investment challenges.
- Risk Analysis and Management: Collaborate with the risk management team to design and utilize data-driven risk assessment models.
- ML Ops: Work alongside data engineers to design and implement efficient data pipelines, ensuring seamless delivery of high-performance models in our production environment.
- Product Management: Engage with teams to spot and define important issues, translating those into scoped and functional requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Maintain effective communication with various teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of applied models and derived results.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Keep updated with emerging trends and practices in data science, machine learning, AI, and quantitative analysis to maintain industry-leading standards.
Requirements
- Educational background with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field such as Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Broad experience (3-7 years) in a data science capacity.
- Demonstrable skills in optimization, statistical techniques, machine learning & AI models.
- Proficiency in programming (Python, R, or Julia) and SQL.
- Extensive utilization of standard machine learning libraries (e.g., Numpy, Pandas, SciPy).
- Experience in model production, data modeling, data warehousing, and ELT processes.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP and associated ML frameworks.
