What we're looking for: You are a data scientist who enjoys developing data products that captivate customers. You firmly believe in agile principles and implement them to deliver incremental value. You are eager to learn new methodologies and practices and directly apply them in your work. You are a quick study. Once on board with Tide, you’ll collaborate closely on a multitude of use cases pertaining to Risk & Compliance, Marketing-Customer Acquisition - Cross Sell/Up sell, Customer Churn, and Credit Models. As a Senior Data Scientist you’ll: - Work closely with the Business teams to produce impact like generating more revenue or optimizing costs or reducing risk using ML/Stats models. - Recognize business requirements and devise data products solutions to address them. - Develop imaginative solutions to construct relevant training data sets. - Train models and fine-tune hyperparameters. - Closely collaborate with our ML engineers to implement models. What makes you a great fit: - You have 4+ years of experience in Software development or Machine Learning. You are skilled in Python. - You have expert knowledge of Machine Learning tools/libraries - scikit-learn, statmodels, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch. - You have experience with big-data technologies like Spark, SparkML, Hadoop and have handled large data in a distributed processing environment. Knowledge of AWS, GCP or Azure (anyone) cloud is preferred. - You have excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain statistical concepts and technical tradeoffs to business users. - You are proficient in ML training, optimizing, feature selection and engineering, hyperparameter tuning and are knowledgeable about trade-offs in using different algorithms. - You are proficient in deploying a variety of ML algorithms, such as logistic regressions, boosted trees and neural networks. - You’re a self-starter - you're proactive in identifying opportunities and finding solutions to challenges with data. - You have good working knowledge of basic data table operations (SQL etc.) and data transformation in warehouse (dbt etc.). - You have a good working knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Looker) or usage of appropriate visualization plots in open source tools like matplotlib, seaborn or plotly for weaving the right story for stakeholders. - Familiarity with Financial Services and Fintech space is a plus.
