Job Role: Senior Data Scientist - Marketplace (m/f/d)

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll be plunging into the core of data science by joining our skilled Pricing and Allocation team. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with talented data analysts, machine learning engineers, and fellow data scientists. Together, you will explore complex optimization issues that elevate operational excellence and propel smart decision-making across the business.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Formulating solutions for complex optimization and allocation challenges in the rapidly evolving sector of urban mobility.
• Designing and executing state-of-the-art deep learning models focused on dynamic pricing and efficient resource distribution.
• Working alongside machine learning engineers to streamline sophisticated models from development to production.
• Enhancing team knowledge and expertise, especially in areas of deep learning and deep reinforcement learning, while also mentoring peers.
• Advocating for data science within FREE NOW to both internal and external stakeholders, and showcasing your innovations at major events.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Over 5 years of experience in data science, specifically in operations research and optimization.
• Advanced understanding of statistical analysis, optimization methods, and deep and reinforcement learning algorithms.
• Expertise in dynamic pricing, resource allocation, and related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• A commitment to writing clean, reproducible code.
• Collaborative in nature and enthused about learning and sharing knowledge.
• An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Maths, Physics, Statistic, CS, Engineering, etc.) is typical, though exceptional candidates in other fields are encouraged to apply.

Additional Skills That Impress:

• Familiarity with Spark, Airflow, Databricks, Metabase, Hive, Presto, MLflow.
