About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist - Optimization to enhance and maintain optimization models for our clients. As we expand our globally recognized analytics consulting team, we are looking for top talent to contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor Distribution Optimization algorithms in Python using Object-Oriented Programming.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to address key business problems, gather solution requirements, and develop statistical/ML/predictive models.
• Implement Operations Research algorithms and ensure models perform optimally.
• Utilize advanced analytics methods to ensure successful outcomes from various what-if scenarios using clients' data science platforms.
• Deploy models to deliver projected business value and support client’s Decision Science team in delivering simulation solutions to business teams.
• Operate as part of a global team to solve computational problems efficiently.
• Document models detailing enhancements, bug fixes, or other modifications as needed.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in optimization with a strong background in OOP using Python.
• Proficiency in heuristic optimization and other optimization techniques.
• Experience with optimization software like Cplex, Gurobi, Google OR tool, Arena, SAS, SPSS.
• Ability to translate business problems into mathematical models.
• Scientific mindset with a strong interest in Operations Research algorithms such as routing optimization, meta-heuristics, forecasting, simulation models, inventory optimization, and supply chain management.
• Effective communication skills to engage with global teams and client stakeholders.
• A Graduate degree in Operational Research, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
