What You Will Do

  • Independently translate stakeholder requirements and pain points into potential data science solutions.
  • Lead discussions leveraging domain expertise across Stryker enterprise functions.
  • Deliver presentations that build data science credibility and rapport to medium-sized groups with some guidance.
  • Mentor others in root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities for machine learning application to real-world business problems.
  • Utilize your strong AI/data science background to address business issues.
  • Successfully deliver machine learning projects related to sales and commercial operations.
  • Execute and deliver projects within the team’s project portfolio.
  • Translate business needs into data science solutions and lead project deliverable execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with applicable work experience. Master’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in a related role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages central to AI/Data Science (e.g., Python) with proven business application experience in sales, commercial operations, and marketing.
  • Expertise in statistical models for forecasting, predicting, and recommending scenarios (e.g., time series, econometric methods) with advanced proficiency in at least two techniques.
  • Experience in selecting the most appropriate statistical tool for use case projects.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based native tools, including Azure services, resources, data storage (SQL), Power BI, CI/CD, MLOps, and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., correlation heat maps, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience in software development lifecycle concepts, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with end-to-end data science and app development from problem definition to model validation and deployment.
  • Experience with web application and UI development (e.g., Figma, R Shiny, Flask) preferred.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code is a plus.

Compensation

Salary range: $98,000 - $210,100, plus bonus eligibility and benefits. Actual pay may vary based on location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
