Position Summary

As a Senior Data Scientist in Specialty Pharmacy Process Analytics, you will:

• Lead the development of complex machine learning (ML) pipelines and natural language processing (NLP) models to create business value and simplify internal processes.
• Independently solve problems and provide fresh perspectives on existing solutions.
• Structure analyses and models to address multiple and complex business problems using advanced mathematical analyses and industry techniques.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand their challenges and goals; develop predictive models, statistical analyses, data reports, and performance metrics; and present recommendations to senior staff and clients.
• Act as an analytics product owner, translating business needs into actionable analytics projects. Lead and manage the development of solutions with moderate complexity and risk.
• Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective stakeholders on analytics results and solutions.
• Utilize strong algorithmic and predictive modeling knowledge to investigate issues, identify patterns, and recommend solutions.
• Employ robust programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large data volumes in various forms.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of analytic experience, demonstrating a track record of business impact.
• 3+ years of data science experience, including measurement and experimentation.
• Experience with modern NLP techniques, specifically for data extraction and document summarization.
• Proficiency in SQL and Tableau.
• Programming experience with Python or R.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages for analyzing large datasets from multiple sources.
• Domain expertise in NLP: data extraction, document summarization, generative AI, etc.
• Experience deploying machine learning models in real-time production environments, including cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Spark-based systems.
• Experience handling complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Effective communication skills for conveying technical concepts to business partners.
• Proven ability to anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks.
• Proficiency in mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling, with deep specialization in certain areas.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is:

$97,335.00 - $206,000.00

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for CVS Health’s bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program, in addition to the base pay range listed above.
