What we're looking for: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Lead Data Scientist who can incorporate intelligence into the products that deliver significant business value to the Partnership credit services business vertical of Tide. As the Senior Lead Data Scientist your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with our Partnership Credit Services team to solve business issues that facilitate effective decisions for the business. - Creating a high-level roadmap for Data Science initiatives that can assist decision-making and enhance Business Performance. - Understanding business needs and formulating data products to address these needs. - Identifying innovative solutions to create relevant training data sets. - Training models and adjusting hyperparameters. - Working closely with our machine learning and data engineers to put models into production. - Encouraging the adoption of newer methods and methodologies. - Mentoring junior data scientists on best practices. What makes you a great fit: - You have over 10 years of experience in Software development or Machine Learning. You're strong in Python. - You have significant experience within financial services, especially Credit Services. However, it's not mandatory. - You have experience working with Machine Learning tools such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch. - You have experience with big-data technologies such as Spark, SparkML, Hadoop etc. and strong knowledge of Cloud (AWS or other). - You're a proven leader. You have managed a team of data scientists before and coached them to become better versions of themselves. - You possess excellent business acumen. You have a knack for translating business problems into data products. - You have excellent communication skills and can explain statistical concepts and technical trade-offs to business users. - You have experience in training, optimizing, and deploying a variety of ML-algorithms such as logistic regressions, boosted trees, and neural networks. - You're a driven individual, proactive in identifying opportunities and brainstorming solutions to challenges with data. - You can handle ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment. - You have experience working in agile teams. - You're familiar with basic data table operations (SQL, etc.), data transformation in a warehouse (dbt, etc.) and business intelligence softwares (e.g., Looker). - You're familiar with model observability and explainability on a large scale.
