About the Role: Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and ideally, Large Language Models (LLM). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in machine learning and relevant fields, and experience in developing and deploying production-ready data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of advanced machine learning models and systems, with a focus on NLP and LLM.
• Design, implement, and document efficient data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration into our technology stack.
• Deploy machine learning models into production environments, including preparation, testing, and monitoring for proper functionality.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in machine learning and integrate these advancements into our tech stack.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and promote a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• Establish best practices for train/test data curation and version control.
• Monitor and evaluate machine learning infrastructure uptime and costs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Python.
• Proven experience with NLP models and pipelines.
• Demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality machine learning solutions in a production environment.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Profound experience with ML and data pipeline frameworks such as Kubeflow and Airflow.
• In-depth experience with SQL/Postgres/BigQuery.
• Experience with Spark or Hadoop for parallel processing.
• Comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are a plus:

• PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with designing data-aware pipelines and frameworks such as OpenLineage.
• Experience with GPT-3 and prompt engineering.
• Startup experience.

The salary range for this role is $170,000 to $185,000.
