About the Role: Senior Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our FinCrime domain. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and the broader organization to develop and maintain new data models and optimize existing ones that drive insights and recommendations from our data.

Key Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining data models for reliable data analysis and reporting.
• Communicating with analysts and business stakeholders to understand commercial requirements and translate them into technical solutions for self-serve data availability.
• Developing standards and best practices for data consumption and educating data consumers on data quality, availability, and interpretation.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and increase efficiency across data models and the data warehouse.
• Ensuring high-quality data and outputs that are tested, automated, scalable, and documented.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proficient in daily use of SQL and familiar with modern cloud data warehouse environments.
• Comfortable automating processes and deploying applications in Python, including developing production-standard Python scripts for data extraction and analysis.
• Experienced with the tools of modern software engineering, including command line, version control, testing, and performing code reviews.
• Problem-solver who understands business problems and communicates commercial impacts alongside technical solutions.
• Advocate for data-driven decision-making, improvement of processes, and establishment of best practices.
• Familiarity with dbt for designing and implementing data models (nice to have).
• Open-minded and inclusive, reflecting the global diversity of our team and customers.
