The Opportunity

Our Canadian Advanced Analytics (AA) team is on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated ML Engineer specializing in building AI-enabled applications. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to transform hypotheses and ML experiments into fully operational AI/ML products with real-world impact.

As a specialist in MLOps and Generative AI techniques, you will work with innovative closed and open-source Generative AI models, utilize prompt engineering, RAG applications, and fine-tune LLM models to drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement machine learning models with a focus on Generative AI techniques and LLM to solve complex business problems using various algorithms.
• Streamline Generative AI model development and deployment using Azure infrastructure and capabilities like cognitive search.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques, work with RAG applications, and fine-tune language models to enhance their performance in specific tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, scope, implement, and sustain predictive analytics solutions.
• Design and execute experiments to validate and optimize machine learning models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Deploy machine learning models on cloud platforms like Azure ML or Databricks for seamless integration, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop measurement and feedback systems, and mentor associates and peers on MLOps and LLMOps best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, Generative AI, prompt engineering, RAG applications, and cloud technologies to enhance our data science capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Azure tech stack, including Azure cognitive search, Langchain, Semantic Kernel, and agent frameworks like Autogen, Vectordb.
• Experience in fine-tuning open-source models like Llama, Phi2 is a plus.
• Proven ML engineering experience with a focus on machine learning, generative AI, prompt engineering, and RAG applications.
• Strong partner management and ability to translate technical topics into business language.
• Proficient software development skills in Python and advanced SQL knowledge, preferably using Azure stack.
• Experience in productionizing code through the DevOps pipeline (Git, Jenkins pipeline, code scan).
• Comprehensive understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data analysis techniques.
• Over 4 years of experience with large-scale data science/software engineering systems.
