Moreover, the data analytics department is instrumental in shaping the data culture of the organization, endorsing best practices in data management and verifying that the data is accurate, timely, and actionable.


Job Description

The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and creating comprehensive reports and visualizations to inform strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large and varied datasets, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have experience in requirements gathering, project leadership, and task prioritization.    
   
As the Data Analyst, you will be held accountable for designing and providing key analytics to support business operations and forecast vital performance indicators like revenue, cost, cash, and customer delivery.

This highly technical role is embedded within our business organization and presents the chance to shape the analytics functions of supply chain and procurement. Currently, the organization primarily uses Tableau for descriptive analytics, analyzing data stored on the Amazon Cloud Enterprise Data Hub.


   
Responsibilities:
- Attend staff meetings with business partners to gain a deep understanding of their goals and challenges    
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on objectives and priorities    
- Prioritize tasks effectively and deliver high-quality work within mutually agreed-upon deadlines    
- Investigate and explore complex datasets to uncover insights and trends that will inform business decisions    
- Gather requirements from stakeholders to create effective data analysis and reporting solutions    
- Lead and manage data analysis projects from start to finish    
- Verify data quality and accuracy by validating data sources and cleaning data as needed    
- Develop reports and dashboards using data visualization tools that effectively display insights and facilitate informed decision-making    
- Remain current with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and visualization to continuously refine and optimize processes and tools. 


Basic Requirements

- Solid understanding of procurement processes (spend analytics, cost modelling, supplier management, etc.) and prior experience in procurement is mandatory for this role.
- Experience working with large and complex data sets and the ability to derive insights and develop recommendations from data analysis.    

- Proficiency in SQL, SAP/Oracle, and experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to create interactive reports and dashboards.

- Proven ability to gather requirements from business partners, translate them into data analysis deliverables, manage projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.     

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives with data and present insights clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders.    

- Strong team skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. 

- A firm understanding of statistical analysis and modeling techniques such as regression analysis, clustering, and decision trees.
