Senior Data Scientist - Marketing Analytics

Job Description
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our marketing analytics in collaboration with the business team. Your main focus will be on optimizing promotional investments. This role requires a blend of quantitative and analytical skills to combine the art and science of data analytics and marketing. You will assist business stakeholders in addressing complex marketing challenges such as marketing effectiveness, ROI, brand equity impact, channel effectiveness, and pricing impact.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams focused on customer engagements and marketing leadership. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting brands with go-to-market strategies and customer analytics.
- Making analytics solutions scalable.
- Providing actionable insights for fact-based decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
- Communicating effectively with marketing brand leaders, center of excellence teams, and senior management.
- Leading statistical and machine learning projects.
- Generating reports and presentations summarizing business and financial data.
- Designing and building software tools to streamline advanced analytical methods.
- Analyzing industry and technology trends to identify target markets.
Primary Activities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Expertise in Pharma Marketing Analytics such as ROI, clustering, test & control, MMX modeling, and campaign management.
- Building and analyzing behavioral segments, promotional response models, and marketing mix models.
- Developing optimal promotional sequences to determine the business impact.
- Utilizing advanced analytical methods and tools like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Advanced Statistical methods in AWS, Python, and R.
- Providing insights into customer interactions and sentiment to improve go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience with an advanced degree (MS, PhD) in a quantitative science or related discipline in engineering/economics/statistics.
- Experience with advanced methods in marketing analytics on large datasets.
- Strong knowledge of statistical estimation, data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms.
- Expertise in tools like Excel, SAS, SQL, Python, and R.
- Understanding of the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry including third-party data sources like IMS Exponent and Longitudinal Patient Data.
- Excellent communication skills to convey analytical findings to a non-technical audience.
