Senior Technical Producer - Riot Data Products, Game Studios Data

As Technical Producers at Riot, we lead dedicated technical teams to develop products and experiences that aim to deliver maximum value to developers and players. As a Senior Technical Producer in Game Studios Data (part of the Riot Data team), you will spearhead the development of sustainable and efficient processes that allow games to turn data into value for the player. This includes work related to the collection of raw telemetry, data warehousing and pipelines, game development tools, and player experiences. You will drive investment in effective, repeatable processes for planning, designing, and delivering impactful technical products. You will provide coaching and mentoring to teams on how to communicate the goals, scope, and status of our commitments to our teams and customers. You'll also ensure the team maintains a sustainable work rate and is continually improving. You will report to the Principal Technical Product Manager for Game Studios Data. Responsibilities: - Develop a product vision for multi-game data products and capabilities. - Prepare product pitches for new data-focused opportunities within Riot’s games and get approval from leadership. - Work with data pods across VALORANT, Project L, and R&D titles to break down complex projects, finalize quarterly commitments, and establish work systems that allow the team to maximize their potential to develop products that support multiple Riot Games simultaneously. - Create product requirement documents and/or high-level technical design documents for review by game-level leadership; create prototypes & wireframes as needed. - Develop relationships with game producers, designers, QA, and product managers to coordinate upcoming game features and the required data integrations and products. - Work with Technical Product Management to create an operational strategy for applying machine learning capabilities built within a single Riot Games title across multiple games. - Establish standardized delivery practices for data products across VALORANT, Project L, and R&D titles, including tracking Objective & Key Result (OKR) progress, incident management, On-Call, and release expectations. - Oversee and advocate for the release schedule of data products for VALORANT, Project L, and unannounced R&D titles. Partner with producer counterparts across game teams and R&D titles to understand the release schedule of each game. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. - Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large-sized teams. - Direct experience as a producer or product manager for teams engaged in the development and operation of data products and services. Desired Qualifications: - Direct experience managing teams that build, deploy, optimize, and maintain machine learning models. - Direct experience supporting the development of game features that integrate machine learning into game servers, game clients, and backend services. - Familiarity with tools for machine learning (e.g., Mlflow, Tensorflow, PyTorch), reinforcement learning or transformer-based models for language. - Experience managing products based on complex, event-driven systems. - Experience leading teams dealing with data processing, storage, transport, and orchestration. - Experience in game development or a solid understanding of how artists, engineers, and game designers build assets and game features. - Experience working with teams developing software for internal users.
