Position: Senior/Staff Data Engineer

We're looking to add talented Senior and Staff Data Engineers to our Data Science Team! In this role, you will solve complex problems for StackAdapt's digital advertising platform. You'll collaborate closely with our Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Engineering team, and CTO to build pipelines and ad optimization models. With databases processing millions of requests per second, there's an abundance of data and challenges to tackle.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing modular and scalable real-time data pipelines to handle huge datasets
  • Suggesting, implementing, and coordinating architectural improvements for big data ML pipelines
  • Understanding and implementing custom ML algorithms in a low-latency environment
  • Working on microservice architectures that run training, inference, and monitoring on thousands of ML models concurrently

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Ability to take an ambiguously defined task and break it down into actionable steps
  • Capacity to follow through complex projects to completion, both independently and by coordinating with others
  • Deep understanding of algorithm and software design, concurrency, and data structures
  • Experience in implementing probabilistic or machine learning algorithms
  • Experience in designing scalable distributed systems
  • High GPA from a reputable Computer Science program or equivalent experience in a competitive, innovative tech company
  • Enjoy working in a friendly, collaborative environment with others
