Software Engineer II, Data Science and Engineering

Our Data Science and Engineering team already boasts a remarkable portfolio of systems, tools, and applications to support and use our data. However, we've just scratched the surface of the type of advanced analytics and insight generation we want to conduct! This is a chance to work on intriguing data engineering and data science issues, construct large-scale distributed machine learning systems from scratch, and use cutting-edge Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, HBase, and Hive. This role is available throughout Canada. Employees based in Toronto can work from our downtown Toronto office. In this role, you will: - Design and implement data pipelines for analytics and real-time insights - Construct Analytics solutions for the Enterprise Voice AI domain involving prolonged audio transcription services for call centers, agent assist, and related use cases - Utilize massive datasets for modeling, recommendations, and reporting solutions - Provide technical leadership during cross-functional critical project execution - Identify, leverage, and successfully propagate opportunities to enhance engineering productivity - Contribute to building robust scalable user-focused systems and exposing metrics using effective visualization tools like Tableau We would like to hear from you if: - You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and 5-7 years of industry experience, or a Master's degree in Computer Science and 3-5 years of industry experience - You have experience developing large-scale applications, complex data pipelines, and related projects - You have strong coding experience, preferably in Python or Java - You have hands-on experience with large-scale Big Data environments (i.e., Spark, Kafka, Hive, Hadoop) - You can manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment We'd be especially thrilled if you have experience with data modeling, machine learning frameworks (like Spark MLlib), and analytical tools that support data analysis and reporting (like Tableau).
