AI Solutions Architect - HYBRID (Locations: Bothel, WA; San Diego, CA; Plymouth, MN; Cambridge, MA)

Philips IGT-D business leads the world in intravascular imaging (IVI) products, notably Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) catheters and Flow Measurement (FM) guidewires. The application of Artificial Intelligence to this data presents a great opportunity for business growth and, importantly, provides significant benefits to physicians and patients using IVI.

The AI Solutions Architect will be a principal contributor to the data services team, responsible for the data curation chain for these products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tools and best practices in image curation for AI, and be a hands-on subject matter expert. Innovators and problem-solvers who can bring new ideas to the team are encouraged to apply. This role involves close collaboration with other data solution architects and providing direction to full-stack developers supporting the team.

Your Role:

  • Identify, document, and evaluate requirements for image analysis, as well as other data types as assigned.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and recommend improvements or replacements for existing data pipelines, including changes to tools, processes, and personnel.
  • Continuously scout and evaluate emerging tools for image analysis and computer vision, including generative AI, auto-annotation, and synthetic data generation.
  • Ensure that data, environments, and tools enhance our R&D efforts, and incorporate feedback from R&D into the stack.
  • Become the team's expert in proprietary signals and processing from our products, focusing on the toolchain translating these data into algorithms.

You're the Right Fit If:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science) with at least 3 years of experience, or equivalent work experience of 5+ years in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with MLOps for AI of images, including tool selection, pipeline development, and quality controls.
  • Full stack development experience in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure), including proficiency with Python, SQL dialects, and XXX.
  • Experience and/or graduate coursework in computer vision algorithm development.
  • Extensive R&D background in medical imaging, including image annotation and pipeline utilization.
  • Proficient in managing data governance processes, including access management and data provenance. Experience with MLOps solutions like Dataiku, DataRobot, etc., and engineering within highly regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, transportation, defense).
