We are seeking an experienced, motivated, enthusiastic, and curious individual with a solid understanding of biological data management, multimodal data integration, and bioinformatics to grow our services business. The core focus will be on developing and expanding our Biological Science Solutions and Services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial

Commercial Strategy Development: Growing the business by developing digital solutions for multimodal data management, digital transformation, and bioinformatics through industry contacts, customer insights, market assessments, and marketing strategies. Develop strategy, value propositions, customer solutions, and a services portfolio to generate leads and win opportunities. Participate in conferences and retrospectives to secure projects and grow the practice.

Global Growth Collaboration: Forecasting demand, capacity, recruitment, competency, and skills development. Create opportunities to accelerate existing work, allocate the team efficiently, and nurture global collaboration.

Solution Development: Oversee the design, implementation, and development of customer solutions for digital transformation, multimodal data management, and bioinformatics.

Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for the practice area and team.

People

Team Leadership and Management: Mentor and motivate Bioinformatics consultants, develop talent, ensure equitable workload distribution, and foster international coordination.

Recruitment: Identify hiring needs, participate in the hiring process, and ensure seamless onboarding for new team members.

Science

Industry / Domain Expertise: Implement data architecture, data modelling, and lifecycle management across the drug discovery and development domains. Experience in sequencing, structural analysis techniques, epigenetic and multi-omics data integration, and high-throughput data processing and analysis.

Technical

Modelling: Design and deploy enterprise data architectures for multimodal data. Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and technologies such as FAIR, Data Mesh Architectures, Graph Data Modelling, ETL, UML, and more.

Data Analysis Workflow: Expertise in NGS data analysis, pipeline development, workflow orchestration, data management, and processing sequencing data at scale.

Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, bash, Docker, Singularity, and Jupyter. Experience in statistical analysis, machine learning packages, and UNIX.

Delivery

Allocation: Ensure optimal use of skills and people, maintaining control over team and project allocation to minimize non-billable time. Plan, manage, and communicate utilization and efficiency.

Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting on opportunities, allocation, and data representation. Ensure on-time billing, monitoring, and governance across the practice.
