Sr. Data and Insights Consultant – Visa Dispute Optimization

Job Description: The Visa Dispute Optimization (VDO) team is an external-facing disputes optimization consulting group within Visa’s Client Services. The North America (NA) VDO Data & Insights Senior Manager creates business insights, visualizations, and enhances existing assets, using tools like Tableau and Power BI combined with dispute experience, to deliver client-facing consulting presentations grounded in data analytics.

The Sr. Data and Insights Consultant is vital in driving client engagement and revenue by developing insightful visualizations and identifying business opportunities. With strong analytical, business, and presentation skills, you will solve real-world business challenges for Visa's clients.

Responsibilities:

• Generate analytical deliverables for Visa clients, VDO team members, and internal stakeholders with varying degrees of analytical expertise.
• Identify and understand root problems, define analytical objectives, and specify data requirements for various analyses.
• Combine and analyze disparate data sources in a Big Data environment to derive meaningful insights and present robust results.
• Develop, validate, and implement machine learning models to analyze disputes and cardholder spending patterns.
• Execute the overall analytic delivery strategy proactively for the organization.
• Compare client performance against industry best practices to identify performance and profitability improvement opportunities.
• Create accurate, engaging, and understandable presentations of complex data for clients.

• Travel Requirements: This position requires 10-20% travel.
• Mental/Physical Requirements: This is an office-based position, requiring the incumbent to sit/stand at a desk, communicate in person/by phone, and frequently use standard office equipment.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 5+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 2+ years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 7+ years with an Advanced Degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, with extensive Visa and payment industry knowledge.
• Proven ability to manipulate data from various sources and utilize data analysis/programming tools (Python, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, R, SQL).
• Expertise in AI/ML, data-driven solutions, and business intelligence tools, with strong ML algorithms and modeling knowledge.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver business value.
• Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
