About the Role: Sr. Machine Learning Researcher (Remote)

As a remote Senior Machine Learning Researcher, you'll work closely with our CTO and collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and PhD researchers. You'll have the chance to partner with Machine Learning Engineers and develop innovative AI/ML solutions tailored for healthcare applications.

Given our roots in South San Francisco and our proactive embrace of remote work, we pride ourselves on our expertise in providing a collaborative and effective remote working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Train or fine-tune Large Language Models (e.g., Llama architecture) for healthcare applications
  • Create innovative AI/ML solutions to solve real-world health and healthcare challenges
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and integrate them as necessary

Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional experience in training Large Language Models
  • Experience working with healthcare data (e.g., EDI, FHIR)
  • Passion for tackling impactful human health and healthcare issues
  • Ph.D. or equivalent industry experience in fields such as AI, computer vision, natural language processing, computational neuroscience, optimization, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or data science
  • Preferred: Publications at top-tier AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR)
  • Experience in rapid prototyping, quick experimentation, and writing adaptable code
  • Effective multitasking, strong communication skills, and adaptability in fast-paced environments

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $175,000-$230,000 + Equity, based on market data and individual qualifications. However, salaries outside this range may be offered to candidates whose qualifications differ significantly from those listed.
