About the Team:

The Robotics Software Engineering Team at Relativity Space is developing a cooperative robotic platform that enhances our additive manufacturing capabilities. The team focuses on delivering high-performance, simple, and reusable solutions that integrate seamlessly with various technologies to pioneer revolutionary manufacturing processes.

About the Role:

As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be leading the development and optimization of simulation environments tailored for robotics. You will concentrate on crafting realistic models and advanced simulations and integrating various simulation tools to refine the design, testing, and validation of robotic systems. Your expertise will help create sophisticated digital twins using cutting-edge technologies like NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim, thereby boosting our platform's integration into synthetic environments and streamlining the development of new capabilities.

About You:

Ideal candidates should have:

  • A BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient knowledge in NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, and OpenUSD.
  • Strong skills in synthesizing data for training robotic motion and AI models, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Over 5 years of experience developing large projects in C++ and/or Rust.
  • Experience in developing high-performance 3D graphics software for simulated environments.
  • Familiarity with CGAL, OpenCV, and other relevant computer vision and geometry libraries.
  • Proven ability to process point clouds, 3D meshes, and NURBs, and develop hardware-accelerated software using OpenGL, CUDA, or similar technologies.
  • A track record of project leadership, including managing timelines and collaborating across departments to integrate simulation technologies into business processes.

Nice-to-haves (but not essential):

  • Understanding of applying machine learning techniques within simulation environments to enhance manufacturing and inspection processes.
