The Role: Staff Data Scientist
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Data Scientist with a robust background in the modern machine learning stack, including expert-level knowledge in Natural Language Processing and practical experience with Large Language Models. The role demands a proactive individual who can not only develop but also push production-ready code with foundational engineering skills.
You will play a crucial role in a dynamic, cross-functional team comprising ML engineers, product managers, and data engineers, driving the future of enterprise ticket routing with cutting-edge NLP/ML techniques.
What You Will Do
- Demonstrate prowess in NLP techniques and models such as BERT, Transformers, and GPT to enhance our current ML models.
- Drive the scalability of triage models with MLops and innovative self-serving tools.
- Employ CI/CD best practices, including test automation and monitoring, to ensure successful ML model deployments.
- Collaborate with data engineers to develop scalable data pipelines supporting essential business metrics and model training.
- Utilize quantitative methods and curated data sets to solve complex components of the Triage system.
- Forge strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch, production-grade models and insightful analyses.
Who You Are
- Possess an advanced degree in fields such as Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Have substantial experience with NLP and LLMs, applying these skills to solve real-world problems.
- Bring at least 4 years of experience in employing quantitative methods and machine learning to tackle real-world issues.
- Showcase strong analytical abilities capable of driving data-driven decisions across teams.
- Exhibit proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R), SQL, data modeling, and the concepts of ETL and data warehousing.
- Thrive in ambiguous situations and operate effectively with minimal oversight.
- Communicate effectively, fostering meaningful connections with customers and stakeholders.
- Display a relentless curiosity and a keenness to learn and adapt in fast-paced environments.
