Meet Our Data Team: Innovating with Data Science and Machine Learning

Our Data team at Found is a full-stack data organization comprising highly skilled data scientists, data engineers, and analysts. We handle everything from researching, training, and deploying machine learning (ML) models to using data to guide product development strategies. Our small but highly experienced team has diverse backgrounds, having tackled complex problems at renowned companies like Uber, Netflix, and Spotify. We are eager to welcome a new member to enhance our Data Science and ML capabilities.

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will collaborate with our growth team to develop models for targeting high-value users, personalizing experiences, and improving ROI on marketing spend and account management. You will expand your scope to tackle company-wide challenges, leveraging your expertise to implement data-driven solutions across various departments.

Role and Responsibilities

Day to day, you will:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to predict user value, personalize user experiences, and drive growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, growth, and engineering, to identify new opportunities to solve business problems and improve user outcomes.
• Communicate complex machine learning concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Research novel techniques and best practices for parsing large, diverse data sets.
• Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and frameworks for machine learning at Found.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to foster continuous learning and excellence within the data team.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science.
• Expertise with Python/R and SQL.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• A proven track record of developing and deploying successful machine learning models in a production environment.
• (Optional) Previous experience in fintech, startup environments, and ML-based lead scoring models.
• (Optional) Experience with bookkeeping or taxes related to self-employment.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $205,000 - $268,000, based on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our competitive base salary is part of Found's comprehensive compensation package, which also includes:
