Role Overview: Territory Sales Manager – Clinical Flow Cytometry

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for handling clinical sales responsibilities in the West region of India. This role is critical for driving growth, expanding direct sales, and increasing profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territories. Reporting to the Business Manager – Clinical Flow Cytometry, you’ll be establishing professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and meeting targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

Actively promoting and selling clinical flow cytometry products and services to hospitals, diagnostic labs, research institutions, and other potential customers in the assigned territory.

Market Analysis

Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitors. Gathering and analyzing customer feedback to improve product offerings and stay ahead in the market.

Relationship Management

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, and key stakeholders in the field of clinical flow cytometry. Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer queries and concerns.

Product Demonstrations and Training

Conducting product demonstrations and training sessions for customers to showcase the features, benefits, and applications of clinical flow cytometry instruments and reagents.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting

Monitoring and analyzing sales performance and market trends in the assigned territory. Generating accurate sales forecasts and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technical support, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful implementation of sales strategies.

Continuous Learning

Staying updated with the latest advancements and developments in the field of clinical flow cytometry. Attending conferences, workshops, and training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Required Education and Experience

  • MSc/MTech in Biological Sciences or Biotechnology
  • 10 years of experience in sales within Clinical and Life Sciences vendor companies
  • Experience in clinical sales of equipment and consumables, particularly flow cytometers
  • Strong background in business development strategy planning
  • Proficiency in key account identification and new lead generation
  • Skilled in customer presentations and tender processing
  • Ability to conduct competitive market analysis and prepare competitive documents
