Job Description

Do what you are passionate about and drive change with us! A Senior Data Scientist job within the H&M group comes with responsibility and fun. You will collaborate with our business and engineering teams on creating value from data. The work requires solving complex problems by turning vast amounts of data into business insights through advanced analytics, modeling, and machine learning. To succeed in this role, you need a strong foundation in analytics, mathematical modeling, computer science, and math, complemented by sound business sense. Importantly, you proactively gather information from various sources and analyze it for better understanding of how the business performs.

Furthermore, you will model and build AI tools that automate certain company processes, and implement those solutions to impact business results on a global scale.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will also develop an understanding of business problems and formulate solutions, support your colleagues and business stakeholders in understanding algorithms and decisions made by AI systems, and combine, explore and draw insights from large and complex data assets. You'll also develop tools and frameworks for machine learning projects, and work in a cross-functional agile team to build the AI ecosystem within H&M.

Qualifications

Who you are:

We believe that you have a degree in applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering or a similar field (e.g., machine learning) and the will to continuously develop your skillset. You are hands-on and tackle problems head-on, thriving on solving practical business problems with data and machine learning models. You have 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or similar areas, and are able to implement algorithms and models to production using at least one programming language with support from our machine learning engineers.

You are also a strong team player and a true people's person, result-oriented, daring to challenge and take initiatives. Experience in working with production level machine learning systems, optimization problems and libraries, GCP, and time series data are appreciated.
