Data Engineer

About the team

We are Quadcode, a fintech company that specializes in financial brokerage activities and provides advanced financial products to our global clientele. Our main product, an internal trading platform, is marketed as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to other financial brokers.

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This team is actively involved in the development and maintenance of the company's analytical platform. Our work allows the business to analyze large volumes of data and make strategically sound decisions for the company's ongoing growth. We bring the data-driven culture to life.

At present, our team consists of 3 Data Engineers, 1 DBA, and a Team Leader.

Our daily routine includes scrum standup meetings at 12:00 pm GMT+2, participating in peer code reviews, and using collaborative tools like Slack, Google Meet, and Zoom.

Key responsibilities

• Integrating new data sources.
• Co-developing data marts with analysts.
• Responding to incidents with Data Quality engineers.
• Ensuring the completeness and consistency of analytical data.

What we expect from you

• 2 years of experience in Data Engineering;
• Knowledge of and experience with Relational Databases (Greenplum, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MsSQL).
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
• Understanding of how indexes and query planners work in Relational Databases.
• Experience with Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience in Python.
• Experience in Airflow.
• Fluency in English and Russian (at least B2).

As a plus

• Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Redis, Infinispan).
• Experience using message brokers (Apache Kafka, Pulsar, etc.).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Tableau.
• Experience with Grafana.
• Courses/education in DE/DS specialization.
