Job Description

Merkle’s Integrated Solutions/Analytics team is in search of a seasoned Data Scientist with expertise in building Generative AI solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of AI and lead groundbreaking solutions across various domains. Your duties will include:

Design, development, and implementation of the latest generative models through the use of deep learning techniques to enhance customer experiences and increase marketing effectiveness. Collaboration with various teams such as marketing, data engineering, and product management to grasp business objectives and outline project requirements. Conducting exploratory data analysis and preprocessing to derive high-quality input data for training generative models. Training, fine-tuning, and validating generative models across diverse data sets representing customer preferences and behaviors. Optimizing and reshaping existing models to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency. Comparing and evaluating generative models against KPIs and benchmarked against industry best practices. Keeping abreast of latest developments in generative AI and proposing solutions that drive customer engagement and enhance marketing strategies. Mentoring and guiding junior data scientists to foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications

You will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. An advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on building Generative AI solutions. Understanding of deep learning system architectures. Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (such as Keras, scikit-learn). A minimum of 7 years of Python programming experience, with proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. A strong mathematical and statistical foundation, with proficiency in probability theory and optimization techniques. Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (such as Spark) is desirable. Comfort and experience working within a matrixed organization in roles with a broad degree of latitude. Publications or contributions to the field of Generative AI are preferred.

Additional Information

This position comes with an anticipated salary range of $136,000-$219,650. The actual salary will be determined based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other legally recognized factors.
