Optiv is looking for an Enterprise Data Engineer to be a key part of the Global Data and Digital Technologies team, focusing on the development and implementation of our new data platform. This individual will work on the execution of the Optiv Data Platform, aiding in data engineering and machine learning algorithms.
How you'll make an impact:
- Assisting the implementation in Microsoft Azure Databricks environment, and being a key participant of the development and execution of the new platform.
- Actively taking part in the gathering and documentation of requirements, and design for the ultimate solution of the Optiv Data Platform.
- Analyzing and organizing raw data to develop data systems and pipelines.
- Conducting complex data analysis and reporting the results.
- Identifying ways to enhance data quality and dependability.
- Collaborating with Analysts and Business SMEs to conduct detailed requirement analysis for enhancing and creating new reporting and analytics solutions.
- Leading technical initiatives to implement and modernize technological solutions.
- Mentoring other data engineers on data engineering best practices and conducting peer code reviews.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in Databricks platform technology, especially data lakes, data warehouses, data factories, and any Microsoft SQL.
- Extensive knowledge of virtual application delivery technologies and virtual desktop infrastructures including knowledge of disaster recovery concepts.
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing source code preferably in C#, Python, Pyspark, and SQL.
- Experience as a build and deployment engineer using industry-standard tools.
- Experience with deployment tools and virtual lab management.
- Understanding of industry-standard system architecture and system management tools.
- Experience in the design, deployment, and support of large, complex systems.
- Experience in analytics and/or machine learning would be a plus.
- Azure certifications will give candidates an edge.
