Position Summary: Our AI Research Scientist Interns will work on central problems in machine learning and their application to biological issues. They will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of ML scientists to design and implement innovative ML tools with biological impact and assess their strengths and deficiencies. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of ML scientists to conduct basic research at the crossover of ML and biology. Cultivate a data-centric and process-oriented work philosophy by learning and maintaining best practices for software development, data management, and infrastructure. Communicate scientific approach and results via presentations to a multidisciplinary audience. Basic Requirements: Current master's degree or Ph.D. student in computer science or machine learning, or in a related field with experience with ML research and applications Fluency in Python and conventional ML tools and packages Attention to detail and ability to create clean, well-documented code Familiarity with Git Motivated and team-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary setting Must be able to think independently and work collaboratively Preferred Requirements: Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud-computing services.
