Job Description:
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities.
- Ensuring data pipelines are thoroughly tested in various environments using available methodologies and practices before release approval.
- Utilizing test automation capabilities by identifying use cases for automation, creating action plans, influencing technology choices and implementation, building and managing a test automation framework, and providing visibility to test automation results across the organization.
- Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Implementing best QA practices to deliver successful, innovative products. Working closely with Data Engineering, Product, BI, and other teams and participating in the conceptualization and creation of new products from scratch.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience. Solid knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Experience in code review and debugging skills.
- Experience of working with distributed databases & large data environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development process and ticket tracking tools like JIRA.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work within a maturing company with escalating needs.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Snowflake. Ability to independently manage tests and quality checks and handle related issues.
- Experience in testing non-functional requirements such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and scalability of data pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud data lake architecture, DWH concepts, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and scheduling tools like Apache Airflow would be advantageous. Expertise in databases (e.g SQL Server, Athena, Snowflake, postgreDB & MongoDB) is looked upon favorably.
