Our mission is to empower people to manage their health. THE ROLE: Join Athletic Greens as a Senior Analytics Engineer to take on exciting challenges with our growing team. In this role, you transform raw data into actionable metrics and analytics. You'll have a critical role in informing business decisions, starting with intricate tasks whilst maintaining a strategic view of the larger picture. At Athletic Greens, you will report to the Director of Data Engineering and Architecture and work in a highly data-centred environment. Here, the clarity, accuracy, and readiness of data are paramount. You will be prompted to upgrade our technology ecosystem, emphasizing quality during fast expansion. Your knowledge in the analytics field, along with strong software engineering practices, will form the foundations of our analytics infrastructure. You'll make data accessible, understandable, and actionable for all stakeholders. WHAT YOU’LL DO: - Work with business partners and team members to provide insights that influence the analytics roadmap. - Evaluate cutting-edge technologies and set the technical direction by assessing innovative solutions. - Assess and present the pros and cons of technical resolutions to shape the team's course and its achievements. - Build and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable data pipelines to serve various analytical needs. - Create and manage core analytics models and infrastructure across our Cloud data warehouse. - Convert data from assorted sources, ensuring data precision, and present it in an easily digestible format for our analytics team. - Involve yourself in the entire project span, from inception to realization. - Remediate data inconsistencies and establish preventative measures to ensure seamless data flow. - Uphold data security and governance while applying advanced analytics engineering principles. - Maintain comprehensive data documentation and ensure its accuracy. - Train business stakeholders on efficient use of data visualization tools. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: - Over 6 years of experience in an Analytics Engineering/Data Engineer role. - Expertise in DBT, including building, refining, and optimizing DBT models, tests, snapshots, and other artifacts for precise and efficient data transformation. - Demonstrated experience leveraging DBT's advanced features for modular SQL development, code reuse, and collaboration in analytics projects. - Mastery of modern data structures, transformation techniques, and analytics models. - Expert knowledge of SQL. - Familiarity with Python, especially analytics-related libraries like pandas and numpy, would be beneficial, - Medium to advanced level scripting in SQL for data transformation and analytical reporting. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Experience developing and maintaining data documentation. - Self-driven individual adept at handling complex tasks across multiple platforms and varied business units of the company. - Proven experience using Fivetran for data integration and automation, maximizing its utility in data warehousing scenarios. - Familiarity with Airflow for orchestrating complex data workflows and task dependencies.
