Job Description Our Connected Technology Group (CTG) defines and drives the digital, data and technology strategy for KPMG. We have an important advocacy role for technology in the market and across KPMG, working with our technology leaders to build our market presence. KPMG is currently undergoing significant transformations in the Data & Analytics field and is looking for an expert data-centric Solution Architect with the adaptability to quickly respond to an evolving IT landscape. This is a great opportunity to significantly contribute to KPMG as a company by helping push leading technology initiatives across our business, working with the firm's DART (data and analytics tool). As part of the Business Data Services team, you will be directly responsible for the design and implementation of solutions using modern cloud architectures to meet diverse requirements. As a thought leader, you will engage, educate, and enable KPMG Australia’s internal stakeholders on best practices. Your Opportunity As part of the Business Data Services team, we are searching for a Senior Manager with capabilities that include: - Providing technical leadership, gathering requirements, designing solutions, and supervising the development and implementation of large-scale data transformation projects using Azure. - Supporting the Data Governance Lead and the D&A team in maintaining and implementing design standards for Data Governance, lifecycle management, and data modeling. - Designing architectures that will enable efficiencies using DevOps practices. - Creating hands-on solution prototypes and testing architectural patterns. - Collaborating with various technical stakeholder clients, including the architecture, security, network and infrastructure teams, to guide technology selection. - Assisting project managers by developing tasks, estimates, and dependencies to meet delivery expectations. - Sharing and communicating end-to-end solutions (verbally and in writing) to executives, business sponsors, and technical resources. - Providing deep knowledge regarding secure cloud and data architecture, design patterns and integrations. To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills, and experience could include: - 5+ years’ experience in IT, preferably with 2+ years as a Data focused Cloud Architect. - Practical knowledge in the design and implementation of data and storage services in public cloud platforms to best practice. - Experience in data modeling, data architecture, and analytical skills. - Experience with data visualization technologies (PowerBI and Tableau), and data migration experience. - Experience in leading and guiding data engineering teams. - Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps, and associated deployment pipelines. - Understanding of security and IAM (Identity and Access Management), including SSO. - Knowledge of monitoring, logging, debugging, and tracing on a cloud platform. - Significant experience in the end-to-end project life cycle, including high-level architecture, detailed design & implementation. Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or an engineering discipline with relevant industry experience and certification (TOGAF certification is desirable).
