Work on meaningful projects
Ad Hoc is a digital services company that assists the federal government in providing better service to the people. Our teams use contemporary, agile methods to create and engineer government systems that link Veterans to services, make health care affordable for millions, and support crucial programs like Head Start. As we strive to streamline critical government services, making them intuitive, accessible, and human-centric, we are also transforming the government's approach to and use of technology. If you flourish in times of change, desire to help bridge the gap between consumer expectations and government services, and see potential in ambiguity, then we want you on our team.
What is important to us
Ad Hoc operates under the principles of inclusivity, acceptance, accountability, and humility. We are not heroes. We subscribe to missions larger than ourselves and leave our personal ambitions at the door. We learn from our mistakes and continually aim to better serve the people of our nation. Creating teams that reflect the diversity of the populace our government serves is a priority for us. We thrive on the challenge posed by government-sized projects. By sharing our skills with federal agencies, we aim to assist them in better meeting the needs of their users and bridging the gap between consumer expectations and government.
Designed for remote life
Ad Hoc is remote-first and remote-always. From the outset, we've developed our culture, communications, and tools to cater to a nationwide distributed team. Being remote by design allows Ad Hoc to thoughtfully and purposefully cultivate diverse teams and provide a workplace that suits their lifestyle. With a generous PTO policy and Slack channels for every interest (from bird watching to space aficionados to parenting), our culture embraces whatever is happening in your life. Whether you need to adjust your schedule to look after your family or for a bike ride, Ad Hoc supports you.
Our Federal Civilian business unit serves a wide range of clientele, including the General Services Administration, Office of Personnel Management, PAN Foundation, Library of Congress, Social Security Administration, Health and Human Services, and the USDA US Forest Service. We collaborate with these agencies to build new capabilities, produce products, deem data as a strategic asset for informed decision-making, modernize outdated systems, and establish the digital service infrastructure necessary to scale their mission impact by applying proven consumer technology methods.
