We implement code daily, conduct extensive A/B tests, and play a pivotal role in product creation from conception to implementation. Find out more about our Engineering team here: https://www.beforeyouapply.com/team/engineering-at-turo What you will do: You will construct a top-tier machine learning platform that will cater to an escalating number of use-cases and functions within Turo. You will collaborate closely with data scientists to understand developing models, and introduce successful variants into live production. You will write and maintain high-quality code, test it, review it with colleagues, and launch it. You will pinpoint areas to enhance and scale our architecture and application design. You will create tools and utilities to identify and solve problems. Ensure proper technical design and documentation. Work efficiently in a rapidly changing and growing environment that values creativity and innovation. Your profile: Bachelor's/Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or comparable field 5+ years of experience launching highly-scalable code to production. Fluent in at least one language - Python, Ruby, Go, C, or Java. Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases, distributed systems, and search. Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments with significant successful outcomes. Strong communication skills. You can explain complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers effectively. Technical leader driving extensive and complicated projects impactful to the business. Enjoys problem-solving and assisting others in fulfilling their goals. Passionate about search, streaming, database or other backend technologies. Experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting systems and tools.
