Job Description Marketplace under Cash App offers distinct payment products like BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) or pay monthly to customers. The Feature System team, part of our Machine Learning Architecture organization, is committed to developing versatile solutions and frameworks in the Machine Learning infrastructure and data field which enable and scale Machine Learning use cases in Cash App. As a member of our team, you'll design, build, and support the feature store and feature engineering pipeline for Marketplace Machine Learning. You will also have the opportunity to aid in establishing best practices for creating scalable, iterative, and reliable ML solutions and frameworks. We build our services over Cash App's constantly evolving infrastructure, and as a senior engineer on the team, you will embrace these changes and scale our tech stack to enable future adaptability. This is a thrilling opportunity to directly influence our product and work on projects that are crucial to the success of our business. You Will Design and build self-serving feature platform to manage new products and business requirements that securely scales over millions of users and their transactions. Develop, integrate, and optimize the end-to-end feature engineering data pipeline. Collaborate with ML modelers, data scientists, data analysts, and domain engineering teams to identify and work on new opportunities. Show diligence in maintaining high code quality, adequate test coverage, and other engineering best practices. Have autonomy to research and achieve outcomes with support when needed. Contribute to the development capabilities growth by leading, mentoring, and supporting fellow engineers. Assist in building the next generation of machine learning infrastructure and architecture at CashApp. Work in any AU Cash App office location, or work remotely in Australia. Qualifications You Have 7+ years of backend software development experience in building and maintaining applications in any mainstream language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, Ruby, Go, Swift, C++. Enthusiasm about solving business problems with technology and can take ownership of an end-to-end solution. Passion for continuous learning of new technologies, frameworks, and services. Execution mindset and the ability to deliver with globally distributed cross-functional teams. Seriousness about testing and have experience with automated testing frameworks. Passion for Cash App's mission of economic empowerment. Experience in building ML feature engineering data pipeline is a bonus. Experience with common technologies, for example, Kafka, Airflow, Spark, Flink, Redis, Cassandra is an added advantage.
