We're seeking a self-motivated, results-focused and experienced Senior Staff AI Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Affinidi Elements team. In this role, you will work with global peers across various teams, including product, design, infrastructure, architecture, and engineering, and help establish our AI Engineering team. You'll develop new models and algorithms to apply artificial intelligence to solve real-world problems and change the future of identity. As an AI engineer, we expect you to have extensive experience in AI and machine learning, and to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in this rapidly evolving field. Your duties will include analyzing data sets to identify patterns and develop predictive algorithmic models. You will be responsible for enhancing and developing a multi-component platform. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

What’s in it for you:

Design and develop AI/ML models for the ongoing development of the Affinidi Elements technology stack, and convert these models into APIs for other developers.
Perform statistical analysis on large data sets and make actionable recommendations based on your findings.
Manage project infrastructure and the development of AI models and projects.
Help build our team of machine learning engineers, data engineers, and AI engineers to create machine learning models for our core products.
Develop features and improvements for the Affinidi Elements product in a secure, tested, and efficient way.
Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering (e.g., UX) to maintain a high standard of quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Advocate for product quality, security, and performance improvements.
Write code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale systems environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards during code review.
Confidently take ownership of moderate to complex features and improvements with minimal guidance from the team. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.
Contribute to the team's development by mentoring other engineers, and by suggesting improvements in processes and tooling.

Who we're looking for:

10+ years of solid experience in computer science, AI/ML, data science, or related fields. A master’s degree is recommended.
Great understanding of common programming languages used in AI, such as Python, Java, C++, and R.
familiarity with deep learning and machine learning algorithms and the use of popular AI/ML frameworks.
Advanced knowledge of statistical and algorithmic models as well as fundamental mathematical concepts, such as linear algebra and probability.
Experience working with large data sets and writing efficient code capable of processing large data streams quickly.
