Job Description

This position requires successfully passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check, and a drug test. Your employment is contingent upon passing this screening. Due to Federal regulations, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, with a green card, will be considered.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cloud Cost Modeling Analyst, specifically technically focused on customer usage within our Azure and private cloud. In this role, you will analyze customer cloud usage patterns and identify cost optimization opportunities for both customer and infrastructure costs. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Azure services, cost management tools, and a robust background in financial analysis. What you will do in this role:  

• Azure Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of Azure cloud usage, expenditure, and cost drivers to identify cost optimization and missed opportunities.
• Customer Usage Analysis: Analyze customer cloud usage patterns to comprehend resource allocation, utilization, and their impact on costs.
• Cost Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed cost models for Azure resources and services to support financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Recommendations: Provide suggestions for optimizing cloud expenses, including rightsizing resources, reserved instances, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Cost Reporting: Regularly generate cost reports and dashboards to share cost insights with management and project teams.
• Cost Reporting: Regularly produce customer-specific cost reports and dashboards to communicate cost insights and recommendations.
• Optimization Recommendations: Suggest ways to optimize customer cloud costs, including rightsizing resources, reserved instances, and finding cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• 6+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, computer science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in private and public cloud cost modeling and optimization with a specific focus on customer usage.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud cost management tools.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience in Tableau Development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with customers and conveying cost insights and recommendations.
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization frameworks and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Data analysis and modeling using tools like Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Technical Dashboard development using platforms such as Tableau and ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Private Cloud).
• Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional technical teams in a technical or advisory capacity.
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.

For positions in California (excluding the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $123,750 - $216,450, plus equity (if applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Sales positions generally come with a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Note that the base pay mentioned is a guideline, and the total compensation for each individual will vary based on qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also provide health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time-off plan, and family leave programs. Compensation is based on where the role is located and is subject to change depending on work location. For individuals based in the Bay Area, a pay enhancement applies.
