We are in search of a Senior Solutions and Data Architect (SA), who will report directly to the CIO. This individual will collaborate closely with software engineering, applications, and business leaders, offering technical leadership, and designing robust scalable solutions which align with the company's long-term objectives. A crucial part of their role will be to simplify our technology landscape, using solid architecture design principles.
What You'll be Doing:
- Driving innovative, scalable solution design for new requirements, and refactoring existing applications.
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and IT teams, including internal and external consultants, to ensure that the business requirements are met through optimal solution design, system configuration, and comprehensive testing across all internal and enterprise application systems.
- Establishing standards and playbooks for the software and application teams, so they can adopt best-in-class architectural principles and code, thereby accelerating innovation.
- Directing an architectural review board to secure software design and development consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and ISO measures in relevant software solutions.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience delivering commercial cloud-based software applications with integration with SFDC.
- Strong work ethic and a self-starter attitude, along with a desire to create clean, maintainable code.
- Experience as an architect and technical lead through multiple software development life cycles.
- Experience in designing data models that accurately represent business requirements and relationships between different data entities. Knowledge of tools like ER diagrams and data modeling software is a plus.
- Solid understanding of modern software technologies including eCommerce, API & integration solutions and practices such as microservices, CI/CD, and container-based technologies.
- Experience in designing solutions for eCommerce and manufacturing end-to-end processes.
- Sound knowledge of REST API development.
- Experience with Message Queuing frameworks like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Experience with cloud-based development using AWS including Lambda applications.
- Expertise in a programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed software development teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
- Familiarity with MES or LIMS systems.
- A high-level understanding of integrations with and use of business applications like Salesforce.com and SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This California-based role's base salary is below. In addition to a base salary, this role is eligible for a bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. The final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including the candidate's skill, experience, expertise, and location, which may vary from the amount stated above. Compensation may differ in other locations.
San Francisco Bay Area Pay Range: $147,000—$183,000 USD
