The Role The Database Architect will be a key member of the Architecture Team, responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring it supports current and future business needs. The role will involve collaboration with Business and IT stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the enterprise data strategy and associated implementation adds value to the business. How you'll contribute - Develop and evolve the enterprise-wide data strategy to support delivery of corporate objectives - Be a key stakeholder and advisor in all new strategic data initiatives - Ensure alignment with the enterprise-wide data strategy - Build a principle framework to ensure data integrity across the business - Ensure the Data Architecture strategy and roadmap align with business and technology strategies. - Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artifacts - Provide technical oversight to solution delivery, ensuring business-driven solutions adhere to enterprise architecture and data governance standards - Advocate data security principles and ensure their inclusion in any data strategy - Actively contribute to the evolution of Data Governance practices and influence the adoption of data standards - Develop performance measures for data integration and quality - Support third party data suppliers in developing specifications that align with the Enterprise data architecture What we're looking for - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or related courses - Minimum 5 years of related experience in IT Hardware/Software, IT-Network/System/Database Admin, IT-Security, IT-Cloud Technology - Required Certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), TOGAF, or similar - Proven experience in architecting and implementing Business Intelligence and Data warehouse platforms, data integration and OLTP database solutions. - In-depth knowledge of and ability to consult on various technologies - Strong knowledge of industry best practices for data architecture in cloud-based and on-premise solutions. - Strong analytical and numerical skills essential for interpreting and analyzing large volumes of data. - Comprehensive understanding of the principles of and best practices behind data engineering. - Experience architecting data solutions across hybrid data platforms. - Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes. - Experience implementing data solutions - Excellent problem solving and data modeling skills - Experience mapping key Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications - Strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output - Excellent communication and presentational skills #LI-ST1 #LI-Hybrid
