The Role

At EDITED, you'll become part of our Product and Engineering team, collaborating closely with other software developers, engineers, data scientists, retail specialists, and designers to develop data-driven solutions to our customers' problems. As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between data science and production. Your chief duty will be to collaborate closely with our Data Scientists to convert their developed models into production-ready solutions. Your role will be centered on learning and contributing to model optimisation for efficiency, considering both cost-effectiveness and execution speed. Furthermore, you will have the chance to engage in the construction and maintenance of our MLOps infrastructure, aiding experimentation, model deployment, and monitoring processes. We greatly value sustainable practices, and you will be guided to ensure the continued optimal performance of our deployed models. Requirements

Essential:

• 1+ years experience in an engineering or equivalent role
• University degree in a relevant engineering, maths or science subject (or equivalent professional experience)
• An active interest in Machine Learning
• An active interest in deploying ML models to production environments
• The ability to learn quickly
• A passion for crafting beautiful, well-tested code. We code principally in Python, but we really don’t mind if you are a Pythonista or not.

Nice to have:

• Experience with web scraping
• Fluency in some *nix flavor. Most of our engineers work on Macs or Thinkpads running Linux and our servers primarily run Linux
• Experience with NoSQL technologies like Elasticsearch and relational databases
• A good understanding of security
