Market Data Manager, APAC The Role We are seeking a highly qualified and talented Market Data Manager to join us as a valued member of our growing Market Data team in Hong Kong. The Market Data Services team manages the sourcing, entitlements, and licensing of data from various vendors, brokers and exchanges globally. The team supports Schonfeld’s quantitative, fundamental equity, tactical trading and discretionary macro & fixed income portfolio managers in identifying and managing data sets across multiple asset classes and regions. What you’ll do As a Market Data Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing new unique data sets across all strategies. You will manage the process from data acquisition to implementation. The process will include extensive vendor and exchange negotiations and working closely with legal and technology teams to ensure proper onboarding and ingestion of data into the firm’s shared research environment and data warehouse. You will be expected to build relationships with our portfolio managers as well as the heads of business development to understand our teams’ strategies and which data sets will be most relevant. Your knowledge of the region and market data vendor landscape will ensure that we are evaluating all relevant vendors and making the best decisions for our team. What you’ll bring What you need: - At minimum, five years of experience in financial services specifically dealing with market data - A deep understanding of the different asset classes and strategies we trade with a preference towards macro trading (FX, futures, and fixed income) across quantitative, discretionary and event-driven strategies - Understanding of the market data acquisition and onboarding workflow with experience in contract negotiation, data acquisition and relationship building - Familiarity with entitlement systems like DACS and EMRS - Detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects at once - Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results - Proficient in at least one regional language Who we are Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is a global multi-strategy, multi-manager investment platform that harnesses the transformative power of people to perform in all market environments.
