This position can be based anywhere in Australia (AEST timezone preferred). This role can be entirely remote or a hybrid if you are in Melbourne.
Culture Amp is looking for a Senior Data Product Manager to join our Data Services team, responsible for event streaming services that enable data sharing and connection among teams in our platform. You will play a key role in forwarding our data sharing strategy and in our mission of enhancing the speed and effectiveness of data sharing and connectivity within Culture Amp.
In this role, you will take on the responsibility of defining the roadmap, fostering customer empathy, establishing a robust feedback loop, and collaborating closely with our engineering teams. We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive on challenges and are excited about unlocking the vast potential of data.
Your expertise and vision will be instrumental in raising Culture Amp's data sharing capabilities to a point where publishing, transforming, consuming, and deriving insights from data across products becomes effortlessly seamless.
You’ll be working collaboratively with a cross-functional team, but you will also need to show thought leadership across teams to ensure alignment on data as a primary concern and unified platform experience.
As a Senior Product Manager for our Data Streaming Services team, your role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities:
Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve data service accessibility and usability for internal stakeholders.
Work with other Product Managers and Engineers to understand their data needs and enable their roadmaps with fresh & rich data
Coordinate multiple teams, acting as a liaison between producers and consumers of our internal data services.
Balance investments between customer experiences and technical vision
Identify key metrics that drive the platform experience by applying an analytical mindset to uncover opportunities for improving business outcomes
Define user personas, journeys, and critical tasks through interviews and data analysis.
Collaborate with teams across the Product Group and the business to influence change and bring ideas to life
Work alongside technical experts to identify and remove key technical constraints affecting the platform experience
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our data streaming services and driving our commitment to excellence in this field.
What You Bring to Our Camp

They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, delivery, engineering, marketing, and other specialists, to achieve our shared objectives. You have:
A minimum of 5 years experience in data or technical product management (or similar). Experience in roles related to data as a product, data management, administrator experience, data streaming services, or platform services is advantageous.
A passion for Data Product Management roles with both external and internal focus: driving direct customer impact and enabling the roadmaps of other teams
A problem-solving mentality with a curiosity that leads you to ask and answer the ‘why’
Research skills: You can systematically collect qualitative and quantitative data, use your sharp analytical skills, intuition, and empathy to discover non-obvious patterns, and distill it all into actionable insights.
Communication and influencing: You can engage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve a shared understanding and vision.
