We are looking for a hardworking and creative Analytics Engineer to become a part of our worldwide security team. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining and executing Zendesk's Security data strategy and roadmap. Your collaborations with stakeholders will help craft an analytics platform that allows teams to understand and improve Zendesk's risk situation. The products and tools you develop will be utilized by business partners, engineers, analysts, and leaders across the organization.
Your Responsibilities
Extend and maintain data pipeline architecture, data repository, and data models.
Create reporting dashboards that enable stakeholders to independently access security data and metrics.
Oversee the entire release cycle from development to deployment including conception, design, implementation, testing, and rollout.
Lead technical conversations and effectively communicate your ideas and vision to others.
Work with diverse technologies including AWS cloud services and Google Cloud Platform.
Assist in shaping, refining, and documenting the procedures that support security data curation, ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
Identify, design, and implement internal improvements: automate manual processes, optimize data delivery.
What you offer
Essential Qualifications:
A history of resolving complex problems while navigating uncertainty.
Experience in developing data models that meet business needs.
Experience in building, monitoring, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
A skillset in analyzing data to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards, using multiple BI tools.
Expertise in Python and SQL.
Knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
Interest in enhancing your security knowledge.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in a small, lean data team. Ideally global.
Understanding of a data governance framework and best practices in software engineering.
Advocate of data documentation.
Tech Stack
Our code is written in Python and SQL.
We use cloud tools such as AWSAthena, StepFunctions, EMR, and SageMaker.
Data is stored in RDS for MySQL, AWS S3, among several security tools.
