As an Analytics Engineer, your key role will be building and implementing data models and analytical solutions using DBT and Snowflake. You’ll primarily focus on using these technologies to design and create scalable data pipelines perform intricate data transformations, and develop analytical models that contribute to our risk management and re-platforming strategies. You’ll work closely with various teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to deliver robust and reliable solutions. You will oversee change management and data governance of re-platforming and translating existing data models to the new platform.
Your tasks will include:
• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines for analytics purposes using DBT and Snowflake.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and converting them into technical specifications and data models.
• Working with cross-functional teams on data requirements, quality assurance, and data infrastructure needs concerning product initiatives.
• Executing complex data transformations, including data cleaning, aggregation, and enrichment, ensuring high-quality data for analysis.
• Building and managing analytical models to support data assessments, portfolio evaluations, and predictive modeling.
• Improving data pipelines and models for enhanced performance, precision, and reliability.
• Conducting data profiling, analysis, and validation to discover data quality issues and devise appropriate solutions.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and analytics workflows to ensure smooth operations.
Your qualifications should be:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a similar field. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or in a similar role, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry.
• Proficiency in implementing data solutions using DBT (Data Build Tool) and Snowflake is essential.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience with Python or other programming languages for data manipulation and scripting.
• Understanding of risk management concepts and analytics methodologies in the fintech domain.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, focusing on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with other data engineering tools, like Apache Airflow, is a plus.
