Position Summary Join Harbinger Health as a Machine Learning Engineer in our AI and Computational Biology group. This role involves creating, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models and managing workflows from training to benchmarking. Close collaboration with data scientists, software engineers, bioinformaticians, and assay teams is required. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform well both individually and as part of a team are crucial. Key Responsibilities - Preprocess and clean data sets for machine learning. - Design and implement machine learning models, focusing on genomic and health-related data sets. - Create workflows for the end-to-end process of machine learning model development. - Benchmark, deploy, and maintain machine learning models. - Analyze genomic data for feature selection. - Coordinate with various functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. - Develop processes and tools to evaluate model performance and accuracy. - Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to create robust, scalable products. - Keep up-to-date on emerging technologies in machine learning, deep learning, and data visualization. - Engage with stakeholders throughout the organization. Qualifications - PhD or MSc with 2+ years of experience in fields of Computer Science, Statistics, Computational Biology, or Scientific Computing. - Proficiency in Python and familiar with libraries like Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Scipy, and Numpy. - Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries like PyTorch or Keras. - Solid understanding of various machine learning techniques and practical experience (e.g., clustering, decision trees, neural networks). - Familiarity with genomic data is a plus. - Robust problem-solving and analytical skills. - Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
