Job Description
We are in search of a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to join the Global Embedded and Data Analytics team. The individual will be responsible for driving the overall product vision and market strategy, business cases, roadmap, and meeting financial and customer satisfaction goals. As an expert of your product, you will guide the organization and oversee the formulation and execution of the business strategy across different departments. This encompasses managing the product's lifecycle, gathering market requirements, making sure projects are delivered on time, and ensuring that the final product meets set requirements and objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess a vision for development and have the ability to analyze every dollar we invest in products, showing how it benefits the customer, generates value, and when we can expect returns on investment.
This role presents an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation, knowledge and experience with data analytics tools, and a passion for staying abreast with industry trends, business and customer needs, and conceiving a strategic plan for boosting revenue growth.
Responsibilities
1. Product knowledge and future strategy – Technical and business understanding
a) Master your product
- Become an expert on the functionalities of your products. Understand the data ingest, transform, load, table structures - both inbound and outbound
- Identify the technical aspects of your products and key stakeholders
- Understand the product's performance from an end-user's perspective
- Engage in in-depth discussion about all elements of your products
b) Master the technology involved in your product
- Engage in discussions regarding the viability of your product's solutions and possible improvements
- Understand the factors involved in major decisions and provide input on architecture
c) Master the innovations in your product and understand customer needs
- Formulate a comprehensive understanding of how your product fits into the broader domain and update it regularly
- Frequently re-assess how your product provides value to customers and make adjustments as needed
2. Stakeholder / Customer Obsession – Prioritizing customer satisfaction
a) Own the product roadmaps
- Manage product roadmaps to support product vision and key business priorities
- Maintain documentation of product roadmap and provide visibility to markets and other business stakeholders
b) Customer-centric – ensure your products are effective and evolving appropriately
- Ensure features are built for global functions and markets
- Hold regular feedback sessions with end-users and improve products accordingly
- Advocate the end-user experience
- Work with your team to ensure these elements are accounted for
3. Collaboration Capability – Working with others across the organization
a) Promote collaboration
- Collaborate with other Product Managers across the organization and partner with Initiative Leads & Stakeholders to maximize value delivery
b) Own the product backlogs
- Participate in Product Triage and collaborate with product team, Project managers and deployment managers to decompose ideation tickets into Epics & Features
- Prioritize the product backlog
4. Capacity and Resource Management – Managing your product team
a) Manage team resources
- Manage allocated resources and capacity and reassesses according to prioritized roadmap
- Provide capacity forecasting to the rest of the business to ensure preparedness in supporting a release/major new feature
Qualifications
- 15+ years experience with BI and data analytics products in B2B market
- 5+ years of product management or similar experience in the mid-market to enterprise space
- Working knowledge of API and cloud-based solutions
- Knowledge of ML, NLP and data science technologies. Familiarity with AI is a plus.
- Experience with containerized and microservices architecture
- Ability to define and prioritize product features, feedback loops, and product metrics
- Experience working with Agile methodology
- Experience working in a global team
- Ability to balance growth, innovation and retention
- Experience managing product P&L is a plus
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex issues
