Position Overview:

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Office of Information Technology and Management (ITM) is the organization’s main provider of high-quality ICT systems and Green Energy services. Serving a global network of 155+ country offices and UNDP partners worldwide, ITM’s Smart Infrastructure Services mission is to create smart facilities, build local capacity, and inspire movement in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our Smart Facility solutions consist of Green Energy services, Connectivity, Security, IoT, and Data. ITM implements best practices to deliver resilient, highly available, and sustainable business solutions that foster organizational innovation.

We seek a new colleague to join our Copenhagen office as a Global ICT Analyst for Smart Facilities. The role entails supporting the operation and providing timely, efficient assistance to end-users. The ideal candidate will act as the first responder for systems/solutions-related issues, possessing a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Global ICT infrastructure and Smart Facilities operations by supporting OneICTbox and MSS-3 operations, network management, and developing network orchestration and automation tools. Ensure standard network configurations and compliance with corporate security standards.
  • Provide tech support for UNDP Country Offices, addressing issues related to networks and smart facility devices using standard troubleshooting procedures.
  • Manage incoming incidents via the internal ticketing platform, monitor alarms, and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Support capacity-building by preparing global webinars and on-site operational assistance with guidance from the team lead.
  • Develop operational support systems and guidelines for end-user training.
  • Collaborate with ITM internal teams and provide tech/non-tech support as requested by ICT managers.
  • Document IT support operations, including procedures, system documentation, technical guides, and compliance reports. Ensure adherence to corporate standards and ISO 9001:2008.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.

Reporting Structure:

The Global ICT Analyst will report directly to the Manager of the Smart Infrastructure and Connectivity Unit (SICU) and the ICT Specialist. Progress will be reviewed during monthly team meetings and weekly SICU meetings. The Global ICT Advisor/Chief of SIS will provide overall guidance to the team.
