The Role: Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager, ML Platform

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in evolving Grab's ML Platform. This high-impact position allows you to direct how machine learning adds value to our business, positioning you at the helm of technological transformation across the company.

Your Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead and Inspire: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of platform and machine learning engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Architect the Future: Define the strategic vision for our ML Platform and ensure it aligns with Grab's core business objectives to maximize impact.
• Build for Efficiency: Design and implement tools that enhance the ML workflow, facilitating the swift development and deployment of impactful machine learning solutions.
• Champion Scalability: Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure our ML Platform can scale effectively, supporting data scientists and engineers across the company.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Promote quality through rigorous code reviews, thoughtful design discussions, and the adoption of best practices in machine learning.
• Attract and Develop: Play an active role in talent acquisition and devise strategies that contribute to the growth and development of our team.

Qualifications:

• Proven Experience: At least 6 years in machine learning engineering or related fields, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role.
• Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge in building and deploying ML platforms, with proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Java. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and containerization technologies like Kubernetes is essential.
• MLOps: Comprehensive understanding of MLOps principles necessary for the productionalization of ML models.
